Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Program (ACBSP) is the leading US accreditation body for business schools and programs whose aim is teaching excellence. Founded in 1988 near Kansas City, Missouri, ACBSP emphasizes sound and engaged pedagogy in institutions of higher education, encouraging a healthy balance between research and classroom. ACBSP is one of only two business school accreditation organizations to impact the distribution of US federal student loans, and thus plays a vital role in the business education landscape. European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)

The European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) was established in 2000 to promote European cooperation in the field of quality assurance (QA) in higher education. In 2004, it was transformed into the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, but its acronym remained the same (ENQA). ENQA's mission is to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of European higher education at a high level.

ISM's ENQA recognition comes from ACBSP's formal association with ENQA.
