International School Of Management
A Global Network for Working Professionals

The international nature of ISM is essential: more than 90 nationalities are represented, and the student body grows more diverse every year. The fact that students can earn an ISM degree and continue working sets ISM apart from other graduate level institutions.

This course is intended to introduce students to the practical legal and cultural issues encountered when negotiating international agreements in an Asian context. Particular emphasis will be placed on negotiations involving Japanese and non-Japanese parties through the examination of actual international commercial transactions. The course will work through a conceptual framework to better identify and understand the principles and processes behind successful negotiation. It will serve to raise students' ability to negotiate effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
