Executive Finance - New York Seminar |

|
|
In this three-day seminar on executive finance, students will be challenged to apply the tools of financial analysis from the standpoint of all levels of management responsibility, starting from the CEO and other C-level executives who may be primarily concerned about shareholder value, down to the frontline workers who may be most concerned about very specific financial metrics such as inventory levels and days outstanding of customer receivables. The concept of the balanced scorecard is well-known and will be covered. Equally important is what is called the layered scorecard, a concept originated by Professor Young. This deals with the challenge to senior management of clearly communicating the corporate strategic objectives and financial goals to the entire company and then developing appropriate measures for different levels of responsibility so that everyone in the company recognizes that they can affect either directly or indirectly the overall corporate objectives.
