Augusine Mugisa - DBA Student from Uganda Print E-mail
It was the search for knowledge that made me think about studying again, and it was the flexible curriculum at ISM that decided me for this school. Here you choose what you study and when, and that is very important for a working person. My hectic schedule means it is hard for me to predict when I will have time for Coursework. It’s the choice that matters—so many schools make you take a fixed curriculum. Another strong point is the international touch at ISM. I come from Uganda, and in one seminar I meet people from 20 different locations, more than a dozen different countries—the Philippines, America, all over Europe—and this makes it very rich indeed. That is why I have no regrets about having chosen ISM. It is the right place for me. The course material is rich, the professors are organized, the analysis they carry out is complex and effective. I am learning to think more strategically; I am challenging what I thought I knew. As a civil servant and an engineer, I come to class with a certain mindset, limited in my thinking. Now my world is starting to open up, for they encourage entrepreneurial spirit. I am beginning to take new risks and undertake more Innovative projects, inside and outside of the ministry.
