I was interested in international business and the developing global culture. I could have studied for a doctorate here in the United States, but desiring a strong international slant, I felt that I should go beyond our shores. My problem was that I didn’t speak a second language. ISM’s English-language DBA program offered a great solution. The rewards from the program far outweighed the stress of the commute from Chicago to Paris. I learned as much from my classmates as I did from my courses. The diversity so many cultures, all interacting at once, is just so rewarding. It has been such a growing experience personally, and I know I have a fresh look at business that helps both me and my clients.
