Kirsty Tan - PhD Graduate

Being an International Dean of a Top 50 EMBA program worldwide (ranked by the Financial Times) was far from my imagination a few years ago. Life as an independent consultant was sufficiently fulfilling then, but the ISM Ph.D. program opened up a new dimension and possibility to my career.

During my three years with ISM as a Ph.D candidate, not only did I acquire updated knowledge in business fields outside of my professional realm, I had the opportunity to acquaint with a vast network of like-minded colleagues. This network has brought me endless opportunities in my personal and professional lives.

It is up to you to make the best of the program. A Ph.D. program is not for the faint-hearted as it is short for “Perseverance, Hard-work and Discipline”. However if you ever have any doubt about yourself, remember my motto - Dream, Believe, Achieve - “Dare to Dream, Believe in Yourself and Achieve the Impossible.” If I can do it, so can you!
