E-Learning - How Does E-Learning Work? Print

ISM E-learning programs for the IEMBA, DBA and PhD in International Business Management are similar to traditional ISM programs: they cover the same topics, but are designed for working executives who, due to professional constraints, cannot manage to attend the seminars in Paris, New York, Shanghai, or New Delhi, as required in the traditional programs.

Candidate Profile

Candidates share the same characteristics as those necessary to succeed in ISM's traditional programs, but their professional schedules do not allow for regular attendance and travel.

Program Requirements

In order to receive an E-IEMBA or E-DBA degree the candidate must:

  • Take the required number of credit hours for the program (see the program descriptions for the traditional IEMBA or DBA).
  • Earn a minimum of 25% of the credits towards the degree through traditional seminars taken in Paris, New York, Shanghai, or New Delhi
    • Students may also choose to attend traditional classroom seminars for more than the requisite 25% of their degree. In this case, the remaining credits must be fulfilled via on-line courses.

E-learning students receive the same diploma as traditional degree students: no mention of e-learning is made.
