Jack Hampton is a Professor of Business at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ, and a visiting professor at Saint John’s University (New York). From 2005 to 2010 he was Director of Graduate Business Programs at Saint Peter’s. He was Executive Director of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) from 2000 to 2004. Previously, he was dean of the schools of business at Seton Hall and Connecticut State universities and provost of the College of Insurance in New York City.
Jack specializes in Financial Risk Management. He shares his ideas in an Emerging Risk Strategies column in Business Insurance magazine. Articles are available at www.businessinsurance.com/erm. He was named a Risk Innovator of 2008 by Risk and Insurance magazine in the category of Financial Institutions and Services. He is a member of the editorial board of the ISM Journal of International Business. He is the author of Fundamentals of Enterprise Risk Management: How Top Companies Assess Risk, Manage Exposure, and Seize Opportunity. His next book is The AMA Handbook of Financial Risk Management scheduled for publication by the American Management Association in 2011.
