This course is designed to aid student professionals in viewing organizations from an external perspective through an interdisciplinary approach. "Organizational persons" and "organizational values" are examined through the literature, with particular focus on modern organized life. A goal of the course is to cause students to reflect upon how organizations influence them, and how they can and do influence organizations. Another course goal is to cause students to critically examine how organizations generally impact modern life, with the prospect of changing and improving organizations when flaws are identified, while defending against unwarranted criticisms of organizations.
