Each year, ISM offers its IEMBA students the opportunity to take part in special programs through its partner institutions: St John’s University in New York City, Temple University Japan in Tokyo, and with ISM's strategic partnerships in Shanghai. The purpose of the programs is not only the immediate and practical knowledge that students gain, but also the networking potential of making contacts through such visits.

ISM New York at St John’s University

Three two-week Intensive Senior Executive Seminars are held every July and August and are optional. PhD students are invited to attend the ISM New York session, which offers a rotating curriculum of intensive courses for 5 credits per session, out of a total of 15 coursework credits necessary for the degree.

Students can enroll in ISM's New York program for no additional tuition fees.

  • Financial Markets, Instruments and Institutions
  • Five Star Management
  • IPO's: If, When, Why and How
  • Strategic Marketing
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Operations/Project Management
  • Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The ISM New York program is worth 5 credits per session.


ISM Tokyo at Temple University Japan

Each November ISM students may participate in our two-week Tokyo program. While in Tokyo, ISM students have the opportunity to meet with executives from international businesses, enabling direct, first-hand experience in the operations of successful international firms. The Tokyo session offers a curriculum of four intensive courses for 5 credits, out of a total of 15 coursework credits necessary for the degree.

Students can enroll in ISM's Tokyo program for no additional tuition fees.

Seminars offered in Tokyo:

  • East-West Negotiations
  • Doing Business in Japan
  • Marketing: Retailing in Japan and Asia
  • Human Resource Management in China

The ISM Tokyo program is worth 5 credits.


ISM Shanghai Program

Every April ISM students have the opportunity to attend our two-week Shanghai program. The Shanghai session offers a curriculum of four intensive courses for 5 credits, out of a total of 15 coursework credits necessary for the degree.

Students can enroll in ISM's Shanghai program at no additional tuition fees.

Seminars offered in Shanghai:

  • Doing Business in China
  • Reform of the RMB Exchange Rates and Banking System in China
  • Marketing in China
  • Expatriate Human Resource Management

The ISM Shanghai program is worth 5 credits.

Please Note:
ISM's international programs are included in the tuition fees; however, students are responsible for any expenses associated with travel, room and board, and all of their personal expenses.
