ISM Student, Eduard Van Gelderen, publishes article in VBA Print E-mail

After attending an ISM seminar on Knowledge Management with Dr. JC Spender, Eduard was inspired to apply the principles learned in class to his own industry of Asset Management, and in the Fall of 2008 published the article "Knowledge Management in Asset Management Firms", in the Association of Financial Professionals' journal, VBA. Temple University Japan 2008 program concludes with praise Print E-mail
October 17, marked the final day of the 2-week ISM Tokyo Program-2008 at Temple University Japan. Beginning on October 6, ISM students participated in 4 seminars addressing; Doing Business in Japan, East-West Negotiation, Silver Market Phenomena, and Nation/Corporate Branding. During their residency in Tokyo, students had the opportunity to listen to several industry specialists, engage in a complex negotiation exercise involving a Japanese-US labor management dispute, and socialize as guests of Temple University's Director of Special Programs, William Swinton in traditional Japanese fashion.

Schlumberger Project Manager Speaks to ISM IEMBA Students Print E-mail
A Schlumberger People Management Projects Manager met with ISM IEMBA students during their 3 day seminar on Knowledge Management with Professor JC Spender, to answer questions about how a knowledge-base for field personnel queries was created. The program was so successful, it was subsequently applied to HQ personnel queries as well.

MBA Orientation - October 2nd, 2008 Print E-mail
On Thursday, the 2nd of October, 2008, a few days before the first MBA seminar in Paris, ISM will hold an orientation for all incoming full-time MBA students. Our goal is to provide important information we feel will help students settle in quickly to the Fall semester and answer any questions about the program, or life in Paris.

ISM Dean, Professor Peter Horn, PhD, has been named Guest Editor for INDERSCIENCE Publishers' International Journal of Management in Education. Dean Horn will serve on the Editorial Board for a Special Issue on: "Quality Assurance in Education Management". INDERSCIENCE publishes distinguished, peer-reviewed, academic, scientific and professional journals in a variety of fields including, Management, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Sustainable Development, and more.
