| Course Description: The course discusses the financial and strategic dimensions of the major types of business models. The origins and varieties of these different types of models will be explored, including Innovative business models in the retail sector such as Zara and Ikea, Open source software business models, Internet-based Social networking models, and traditional manufacturing companies using an “Asset-light” business model. Students will also have an opportunity to practice and apply some of these concepts by managing various types of products and services in a highly interactive and experiential business simulation exercise. |
