| Course Summary: Companies engaging in cross-border business as well as investors allocating capital globally face important international financial decisions. Our seminar explores International Finance principles with a focus on foreign exchange and international capital markets, including operations of organizations such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. PowerPoint slides, which we will view in class, will afford the theoretical underpinnings of the material. More prominently, our Seminar will be structured around several multimedia Case Studies that we will discuss in class. I.e., our Seminar is oriented toward the practical and applicable aspect of International Finance with theory and principles playing a supporting role. We will also take advantage of the diversity of backgrounds that our Seminar participants will bring to the table by encouraging an interdisciplinary approach to understanding International Finance decision-making. |
