Course Description: The objectives of this course include: 1) Providing an understanding of the purposes, processes and tools of strategic management and business planning; 2) building on the knowledge acquired in earlier, functionally oriented courses and developing the critical thinking skills required to analyze complex business situations and develop and implement practical responses; 3) gaining further insight into organizations and the challenges they face as they develop and compete within increasingly global and hostile markets; and, 4) examining the multifaceted role of business organizations in the contemporary world.
