Risk Management MBA/IEMBA Seminar in New York

This course prepares the student for a future in risk management. The course explores the theoretical and practical foundations of risk management as well as the latest developments of the risk management process. The general objectives of the course are to familiarize the student with the various definitions of risk, teaching why risk matters, how to measure risk, and how to manage risk by a scientific process.

ISM’s Director of Academic Affairs publishes article

We are pleased to announce that our Director of Academic Affairs, Matthew Andrews published an article in the latest Journal of Organizational Psychology titled “Turbulent and Dynamic Times: The Importance of Tacit Knowledge and Organizational Learning in a Young E-Commerce Company.” He discusses on how e-commerce “is experiencing rapid growth and is having a major impact on how consumers shop, how companies manage their branding and communications, and how transactions and deliveries are made.” To read the article, click here.

Professor Ivo Pezzuto keynote speaker in Milan

On November 8th, ISM professor Ivo Pezzuto was invited to be a keynote speaker at a conference in Milan organized by the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) and The Global Investor Group of London. The title of the speech was "Outlook for 2018 and beyond: opportunities and risk in the italian market." DBA Candidate Ali Al-Mana Successfully Defends Dissertation

On October 20, Ali Al-Mana successfully defended his DBA dissertation titled "Measuring Efficiencies and Value Creation of National Oil Companies: A Case Study of Qatar Petroleum." The jury was made up of Professor Muammer Koç (dissertation adviser), Professor Michael Wynne (second examiner), and Professor César Baena (ISM Dean).

International MBA alumnus gets accepted at CyAN

ISM would like to congratulate IMBA alumnus Yul Bahat for getting accepted to the Cybersecurity Advisors Network (CyAN), “an international think-tank based in Paris, which aims to contribute to the definition, development, distribution and publication of concepts, doctrines and standards in line with its ambitions in favour of a safer world. CyAN’s goal is to be a source of proposals towards national public authorities and international institutions on issues related to cybersecurity and fight against cybercrime (legislative and regulatory developments, partnership, establishment of best practices...)”. ISM PhD Candidate Presents Article at conference

On September 15th, PhD candidate Grace Chew presented an extended abstract of her dissertation titled “Critical Success Factors of the Mergers and Acquisitions Performance: Interrelationship of Planning stage (Pre-merger) and Integration Process (Post-merger)” at the 10th Annual Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business in Rome.
