Tobias de Coning, ISM's Dean, attended the The African Association of Universities' Biennial Conference Of Rectors & Vice Chancellors (CoreVIP) in Windhoek, Namibia. The event, held from July 4th to 7th 2023, focused on "Advancing Excellence in African Higher Education" and was organized by the Association of African Universities (AAU).

The conference explored successful initiatives and best practices in African higher education, with sub-themes encompassing doctoral education, institutional differentiation, partnership/cooperation & internationalization, university-industry linkages, funding & financing, and the role of the intellectual diaspora.

Dr. de Coning's participation in this event highlights ISM's commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and higher education in Africa. As a key player in the field, de Coning's longtime involvement with the AAU underscores his dedication to promoting excellence in the African higher education landscape.
