PhD alumnus Paul J. Bailo spoke at the 2022 China Software Industry Innovation & Development Conference that was held on July 8, 2022, in Shantou City, Guangdong Province. During his virtual address, Bailo introduced Eric Maskin, a professor of Economics at Harvard University and a Nobel laureate in Economic Sciences.
The theme of the conference“Focus on Digital Economy, Contact Overseas Chinese, Create a Better Future-Build a Pioneer Zone for International Cooperation in Digital Economy,” was about creating a window for the innovation development of China’s economy and providing a national platform for the digital economy to expand internationally and support Chinese people living abroad. The conference was sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and People’s Government of Guangdong Province.
