It has now been three months since I started the PhD program at ISM. So far, I've completed the initial requirement of the program: Case Analysis I worth 1.5 credits. Working on this paper helped me to comprehend the rigor of the research component of the program.

In addition to earning 1.5 credits for Case Analysis I, my teaching requirement has been validated for an additional 10 credits. I couldn't have been happier with my progress so far as everything is going according to plan.

Currently, I am taking an Accounting and Financial Analysis course online, which is worth 3 credits. It is a self-paced course that allows me the flexibility to complete the four-paper requirement on my schedule. I now have to complete one final paper before I finish this course. Professor Iatridis is very responsive to my questions and often provides the guidance I need to complete the requirements of the course.

I must say, that given my schedule, work, and family obligations, this course was not stressful or overwhelming, to say the least. For me, I found that proper time management coupled with familial support is paramount to successfully balancing life’s obligations with those of the PhD program. I'm looking forward to what's ahead.
